Medical Emergency and Minor Injuries Service
The Princess Grace Hospital
A "walk-in" medical emergency and minor injuries service, the Urgent Care Centre, opens on Monday 7 February 2005 at the Princess Grace Hospital. The latest in a range of fully integrated specialist clinical centres providing expert diagnosis and treatment, the Urgent Care Centre will offer a convenient specialist service choice for people over 18 years old who require immediate attention for illnesses, ailments and injuries.
Staffed by specialist accident and emergency teams, the centre will fulfil a need identified by medical colleagues, individuals and businesses for an "on-demand" emergency service in central London, without the traditional wait. Unparalleled diagnostic services are available on site as needed, and if necessary patients can be admitted to the Princess Grace or to one of our nearby HCA sister hospitals for inpatient care.
Time saving and maximum convenience are major plus points of the new centre that will be open between 8am and 10pm, seven days a week. Walk-in registration and initial assessment will mean patients are being examined by one of our doctors in less than 15 minutes. An initial fee of £100 (including VAT) covers the cost of examination by a doctor, and a simple pricing structure will clearly identify the cost of any additional services that may be required as part of a treatment plan.
Service cards and leaflets on the new urgent Care Centre at the Princess Grace Hospital will be provided to all HCA hospitals in London during February as a useful quick reference for patients and staff.
